The third grade team welcomes you to Fort Riley Elementary! This school year will be full of opportunities for learning and growth. In reading, students will take on the role of an immigrant traveling to Ellis Island, learn about and build the parts of a community, and learn metacognition skills while reading. Our math curriculum features problem solving in multiplication and division as well as an introduction to fractions. Students will engage in hands-on investigations to learn about weather and climate, motion and matter, and the structures of life. Third graders in our district also have two unique opportunities: Agriculture Day and Kansas Kids Fitness Day at the end of the year. We look forward to getting to know you and making you feel at home in our Buffalo family.
